President Barack Obama is now the most powerful man in the world. The millions of diverse Americans who voted for him and the millions of people at the inauguration yesterday reflect the new future of America. On the steps of the US Capital built by slaves to the White House built by slaves, there is a now a new truth. For those whites who are true Christians and true Americans who refused to vote for a Black man, hopefully you will truly embrace this new America?
For Black American's, it is now our responsibility to take full advantage of all America has to offer and demand the best of ourselves and our children. While I think President Barack Obama's inauguration speech was excellent and monumental, I was truly moved by the Reverend Joseph Lowery's benediction, who in essence said to America by reciting lines from the Negro National Anthem, racism has never been our (minorities) problem. We have always been willing to embrace you as our brother's keeper. God, through Obama's Presidency is now calling you to change your hearts and your actions and make America a country of inclusion. Black people throughout the world in white dominated countries hope that their countries too will be changed, by mirroring what's happening here in America.
American's of all nationalities and faiths voted for Barack Obama. He is now America's President. Do you think we will all finally work together?
