Our worsening economy is causing new tragedies daily, especially for Black families. The unemployment rate among blacks is now twice as high as whites. When a relative, friend, or neighbor looses their job, we must asked them what can we do to help. Some times a word of encouragement and a willingness to help can make all the difference.
As beautiful as this family appears, none of us has any idea the challenges we all face on a daily basis. We all must take the time to care about another human being. No one should feel that death is their only option. Shouldn't someone at Kaiser Permanente have taken into consideration the financial implications of firing both at the same time when they have 4 children to feed.
