How could racism exist in a world where 90% of earth's population are people of color? Why are Black people and those of darker skin at the economic and social bottom of every society globally where whites and blacks try to coexist? Historically, why are white and lighter skin people given privilege and opportunity in every segment of the globe and in all societies where there is a spectrum of skin color?
Noted psychiatrist, the late Dr. Francis Cress Welsing, author of the Isis Papers, explains scientifically and genetically how racism came into being and why it's globally pervasive in mixed race societies. As a consequence of this enforcement of privileged and opportunity based on skin color, there is pervasive internalized colorism among most societies globally, where among people of color, not only is there an overt preference for white or light skin , many people of color exhibit the same racist behavior, internalizing and practicing biases and preferences among themselves based on skin color despite 90% of the globes population being people of color.
Dr. Frances Cress Welsing below further explains why Christianity globally has used the false pervasive image of Jesus as white to spread and indoctrinate the message that God must be white since his son Jesus is. This implied image messaging is integral in enforcing and maintaining white supremacy, especially among darker skin populations, to maintain an insidious racial hierarchy resulting in pervasive social and economic distrust along color lines, keeping those who are of darker hue at the economic bottom by limiting opportunity and privilege at all level of society using skin color as the primary discerning factor.
This is also why the $4 billion dangerous skin whitening cream market advertises aggressively globally by multinational companies like Unilever, in the mixed skin color countries of India, Mexico, Brazil, South Africa, South America and the United States with the message that the lighter/whiter you are the more beautiful and successful you will be. Thus helping to maintain and perpetuate the false premise of white supremacy.
